The Witcher 4 All You Need to Know
CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has announced that The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris, will enter the production phase this year. The highly anticipated game will be built on Unreal Engine and the studio plans to expand its team to around 400 developers.
In a recent interview with Reuters, CDPR's new Co-CEO Adam Badowski shared that they aim to have 400 people working on the project by the middle of the year. This is a significant increase from the 300 developers who were reported to be working on the game in November 2023.
While there is no confirmed release date for The Witcher 4, it is exciting to see the project grow and more people getting involved in its development.
During the interview, Badowski also addressed concerns about the use of AI in game development. He stated that while AI can help improve certain processes, it will not replace people in the development process.
In early 2024, Badowski and Michal Nowakowski, CDPR's Commercial Director, took on new roles as Co-CEOs, while Adam Kiciński moved to the position of Chief Strategy Officer.
