Prime Video to Adapt Michelle Frances' "The Girlfriend"

Based on the novel of the same name by Michelle Frances, "The Girlfriend" is coming to Prime Video. Robin Wright will direct and star as Laura, a mother whose bond with her son, Daniel, is tested when he brings home his new girlfriend, Cherry.

The series will delve into themes of love, greed, and power, as Laura becomes convinced that Cherry isn't who she seems. With no one else sharing her suspicions, Laura's determination to protect her son escalates, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Alongside Wright, Olivia Cooke, Laurie Davidson, and Waleed Zuaiter will also star in the series. Executive produced by Wright, Will Tennant, and others, "The Girlfriend" is expected to premiere on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
